Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) is conducted by the Indian Air Force for the selection of officers in various branches of the Indian Air Force, including Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) Branches.

Eligibility:

1. Flying Branch: Candidates should have completed a minimum of three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or have passed BE/B.Tech degree from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks.
2. Ground Duty (Technical Branch): Candidates should have completed a minimum of four years degree course in Engineering/Technology from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks.
3. Ground Duty (Non-Technical Branch): Candidates should have completed a minimum of three years degree course in any discipline from a recognized University with a minimum of 60% marks or have passed post-graduate degree with a minimum of 50% marks.

Age Limit:

1. Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years as of the first day of the month in which course is scheduled to commence.
2. Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch: 20 to 26 years as of the first day of the month in which course is scheduled to commence.

Frequency: Twice a year in February and August.

All India Entrance Examination for Design (AIEED) is conducted by ARCH College of Design & Business for admission to various undergraduate and postgraduate design programs offered by the college.

All India Merchant Navy Entrance Test (AIMNET) is a standardised test being administrated by Offshore Shipping Academy to facilitate to screen candidates for admission to Maritime Training and allied programmes.

Eligibility- The minimum education qualification required to apply for the exam is of Higher Secondary (10+2) or any equivalent Education with a minimum aggregate of 60% for the General Category & 45% for SC/ST/OBC. Candidates must complete 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry or Maths subjects. Candidates must be between 17-25 years of age.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test is a Computer based online test for Admissions to Integrated First Degree Programmes of BITS Pilani Campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a centralized national-level entrance test for admissions to the 25 out of 27 National Law Universities (NLU) except NLU Delhi and NLU Meghalaya.

Eligibility- Candidates must have completed their class 12 from a recognized board. General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates need to score minimum 45%. SC/ST category candidates need to score minimum 40% aggregate marks in their class 12

Common Universities Entrance Test (or CUET) has been introduced for admission into all Undergraduate Programmes such Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor  of Science, Bachelor of Laws, B.Voc, ,Bachelor  in Computer Applications , Bachelor  of Business Administration, Bachelor of Public Health, Bachelor  of Physical Education, Bachelor  of Technology etc. in all Central Universities as per the National Testing Agency (NTA). 

Eligibility: Eligibility criteria vary by university, however the standard criteria is that there is no age limit for the candidates. Common Universities Entrance Test (or CUET) has been introduced for admission into all Postgraduate Programmes such Master’s of Arts, Master’s of Science, Master’s of Laws, M.Voc, , Master's in Computer Applications , Master’s of Business Administration, Master’s of Public Health, Master’s of Physical Education, Master of Technology etc. in all Central Universities as per the National Testing Agency (NTA). Some participating universities include Central University of Odisha, Central University of Andhra Pradesh, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, The English & Foreign Languages University, University of Delhi etc. This is a multiple-choice, computer-based test, and Odia, English and Hindi are among the accepted mediums.

Eligibility: Eligibility criteria vary by university, however the standard criteria is that there is no age limit for the candidates. The Film and Television Institute of India Joint Entrance Test is a national level entrance exam conducted annually for candidates who want to take admission in postgraduate and post-graduate diploma courses. A Joint Entrance Test (JET) is conducted by the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI), Kolkata to shortlist candidates for admission offered by the two institutes.

Eligibility- Candidates must be minimum 21 years of age. The minimum educational qualification required for candidates to apply for the FTII JET examination is graduation in any discipline.

Frequency- Once a year in March

FEAT serves as the gateway to cutting-edge postgraduate programs at Flame University, emphasizing innovation, leadership, and interdisciplinary learning. Eligibility-Candidates must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with English as one of the subjects. The minimum aggregate score required is 40 percent. Candidates applying to BBA/BSc courses must have scored at least 45 per cent in aggregate in Class 12 or equivalent with English as one of the subjects. Class 12 students who will be appearing in the final exam are also eligible to apply, but their selection will remain provisional until the submission of the qualifying certificate. There is no minimum cut-off for candidates applying through SAT/ACT

Footwear Design and Development Institute conducts the All India Selection Test (AIST) to shortlist candidates for admission to professional programmes in Footwear Design, Leather Goods & Accessory Design, Fashion Design and Retail & Fashion Merchandise.

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination which is conducted for Master of Engineering (ME), Masters in Technology (MTech) and direct PhD admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other institutes/universities across India. It also opens the gateway to booming public sector organisations (PSUs) and in the field of research. Some of the PSUs and research organizations which use GATE score for providing jobs include ONGC, NTPC, GAIL, HPCL, PGCIL, BHEL, BSNL, NHPC, BARC, DRDO, etc.

Eligibility- Candidates who are studying in 3rd or higher year of an undergraduate program or have completed any government-approved degree program in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Humanities are eligible to appear for GATE.

All India Entrance Examination for admission (UG) to fill 15% seats in Bachelor’s Degree Programme in Agriculture and Allied Sciences (Other than veterinary sciences) at Agricultural Universities (100% seats at NDRI Karnal, RLBCAU Jhansi & DR. RPCAU PUSA) and for the award of National Talent Scholarship in Agriculture & Allied Science subjects   

       (other than Veterinary Science).

Eligibility- Must have passed Class 12th Science Senior Secondary Examination of the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) or an equivalent exam (Indian Board/University) with minimum prescribed marks/grade.General/ OBC (NCL)/ UPS/ EWS category candidates must have secured at least 50% aggregate marks in the Class 12 Board exam.

SC/ST/PwD category candidates must have secured a minimum of 40% marks at Class 12 Board exam.

IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) is a computer-based test for admission to the various undergraduate programmes in the seven IISERs, IISc Bangalore and IIT Madras. It is one of the channels to get admission into the 5-year Bachelor of Science - Master of Science. Dual Degree Programme of the IISERs, 4 year BS Degree Programme of IISER Bhopal, Bachelor of Science (Research) Programme of IISc Bangalore, and 4 year BS Programme of IIT Madras.

Eligibility- Students should have a minimum of three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics during their Class XII (or equivalent) exam. Applicants belonging to SC/ST/PwD must have scored a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent grade in their Class XII (or equivalent) exam. Other categories of students should have scored at least 60% marks in aggregate or equivalent degree.

Frequency- Once a year in June

IIT JAM is Joint Admission Test for Masters, which is conducted by one of the participating IITs (Indian Institute of Technology). The aspirants interested in pursuing a Master's programme from Indian Institutions like IITs, NITs, and IISc in various disciplines such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Geology, Geophysics, Economics, Statistics, etc. can apply for this exam.

Eligibility- Candidates who have completed their bachelor's degree in the relevant subject are eligible to appear for the exam, irrespective of age.

Frequency- Once a year in February

Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management Admission Test (IIAT) is conducted by the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM) for admission to its various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the field of tourism and travel management.

Eligibility:

1. The eligibility criteria may vary depending on the program and specialisation offered by IITTM.
2.    For undergraduate programs, candidates must have passed the 10+2 examination or its equivalent from a recognized board.
3.   For postgraduate programs, candidates must have completed their bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
4. Some programs may have specific eligibility criteria related to subjects studied at the qualifying level or work experience.

Integrated Program in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) is conducted by IIM Indore for admission to its Integrated Program in Management. However, from 2021 onwards, the Joint Integrated Program in Management Admission Test (JIPMAT) is conducted for admission to the Integrated Program in Management offered by

Frequency: IPMAT is usually conducted once a year in April/May, while JIPMAT is conducted separately, typically in June.

The JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is an entrance exam for admission into various engineering colleges across the country.

JEE Main is an entry-level exam with a lower level of difficulty. It comprises two papers.

• Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and other prestigious institutions. It is also an eligibility test for JEE Advanced.
• Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B. Arch. and B. Planning courses.

JEE Advanced is a national level entrance exam which is conducted for admissions to IITs.

KIITEE (KIIT Entrance Examination) is a university level examination conducted by the Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology. Candidates seeking admission in various courses offered by KIIT university may appear for this entrance test. Admission is given in B.Tech, Nursing, Bachelor of Business Administration , Law, Master of Technology, Master's in Computer Applications, Master’s of Business Administration and various other courses.

Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardised National Level test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. MAT is one of the most accepted entrance exams in top MAT accepting colleges in India. Amity University Noida, LPU, Jaipuria Noida, SOA University, Graphic Era Deemed to be University, MNIT Jaipur, NIT Calicut, Birla Institute of Technology, Manipal University, Jaipuria Jaipur, etc. consider this test for admission.

Eligibility- Graduates in any discipline. Final year students of Graduate Courses can also apply.

Frequency- Four times a year - February, May, September, December

NATA (National Aptitude Test in Architecture) is an aptitude test that measures the aptitude of the applicant for a specific field of study i.e. Architecture, through assessment of cognitive skills, visual perception and aesthetic sensitivity tests, logical reasoning and critical thinking ability, etc., besides other learning. It is accepted for admission by institutions like Christ University, Bangalore, Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi, KIIT (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology) etc.

Eligibility- Students with 50% marks in 10+2 exam with PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Maths) subjects are eligible to sit for the NATA exam.

Frequency- Once a year in April

National Council for Hotel Management & Catering Technology (NCHMCT) Joint Entrance Exam (NCHMCT JEE) is a national level hospitality entrance exam for admission in BSc (Hospitality & Hotel Administration). The exam is held annually and it is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the NCHMCT. 

Eligibility- A candidate should have passed the 10+2 system of Senior Secondary Examination or its equivalent with English as one of the subjects from a recognized Educational Board. Candidate must have passed English as a subject of study (core/elective/functional) in the qualifying examination.

Frequency- Once a year in May

NDA exam is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission to select eligible candidates for admission to the Army, Navy and Air Force wings of NDA and Indian Naval Academy courses. Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply for the exam. Through the NDA exam, candidates are selected as Commissioned Officers in armed forces

Eligibility- For Army: The aspirant must be appearing or passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.For Air Force & Navy: Candidate must be appearing or cleared her/his class 12 or equivalent examination with Maths and Physics.

Frequency- Twice a year in April and September

National Entrance Screening Test (NEST) is conducted jointly by the National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) , Bhubaneswar and Mumbai University - Department of Atomic Energy Centre for Excellence in Basic Sciences (UM-DAE CEBS), Mumbai. The NEST Exam is conducted annually to offer admission for Integrated MSc programmes in: Biology, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Eligibility- Candidates who are qualified in Class 12 from any recognized board with 60% of marks are eligible to apply for the NEST 2024 exam. Candidates who belong to the SC, ST, or PwD categories must have secured at least 55% marks.

Frequency- Once a year in June

NEET UG is the National Entrance-cum-Eligibility Test conducted in India for admission to undergraduate medical courses. It is an all-India examination that is taken by students who have completed Class 12th or equivalent.

Eligibility-  12th Science with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with aggregate 50% for Gen/ EWS candidates and 40% for OBC/ SC/ ST candidates. NEET 2024 age limit to apply is 17 years on or before Dec 31, 2024. There is no upper age limit to appear for the NEET UG exam.

National Institute of Design Design Aptitude Test (DAT) commonly known as NID DAT is a qualifying exam for B.Des and M.Des admission at National Institute of Design campuses like NID Ahmedabad, NID Assam, NID Andhra Pradesh, NID Madhya Pradesh etc 

Eligibility-B.Des: Pass the 10+2 exam or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised board. Candidates must be below 20 years of age for B.Des, with exceptions for reserved categories.

National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination  is a national-level design entrance exam conducted by the National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT). The exam is conducted once every year and has two parts GAT & CAT: 

GAT (General Ability Test): The GAT paper is mandatory for all programs

CAT (Creative Ability Test): Only B.Des and M.Des candidates need to take the CAT

Sports Management Admission Test (SMAT) is an entrance examination conducted by various institutes offering sports management programs for admission to their respective courses.

Eligibility:

• The eligibility criteria may vary depending on the institute offering the sports management program.
• Generally, candidates who have completed their undergraduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university are eligible to apply.

SNAP is an MBA entrance exam in India conducted by Symbiosis International University (SIU). The exam is the gateway to admission into one of the 15 colleges affiliated to SIU. Candidates qualifying the exam are eligible to get admission to 24 MBA/PGDM courses offered by the university.

Eligibility: A Bachelor's degree from a recognised university with at least 50 % aggregate (45% for SC / ST) or equivalent.

The Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS) is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission for recruitment of Commissioned Officers in the Indian Military Academy, Officers Training Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Indian Air Force Academy.

VITEEE, or VIT Engineering Entrance Examination, is an annual test for admission to engineering programs at VIT University in India. It assesses candidates in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics or Biology, and English.

Eligibility- Candidates should have secured at least an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the +2/Intermediate examination.  Candidates from NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) will also be eligible to appear for the VITEEE 2024 exam.Candidates who have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Biology are eligible for admission to B.Tech. Bioengineering and B.Tech. Biotechnology programs. They are also eligible for ECE with a specialization in Biomedical Engineering, B.Tech. Computer Science and Engg (Spec. in Bioinformatics) but after joining, registering for Mathematics as a bridge course is mandatory.

Xavier Aptitude Test or XAT is a national-level management entrance examination conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes. Apart from XLRI and 10 other XAMI member colleges, over 1,000 B-schools accept XAT scores for admission to their post-graduate management programmes.

Eligibility- Recognized Bachelor's degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline.
