Scholarship

The objective of the scheme is to provide financial assistance to children whose parents/guardians belong to one of the following categories, to pursue Pre-Matric education: Tanners, Flayers, Waste Pickers and Persons who are either presently engaged in Manual Scavenging.

The scholarship will be admissible to the children/wards of Indian Nationals who, irrespective of their religion belong to one of the following categories:
Tanners & Flayers.Waste Pickers.Persons who are Manual Scavengers as defined under section 2(I) (g) of the Manual Scavengers Act 2013.Persons engaged in hazardous cleaning as defined in Section 2(I) (d) of the Manual Scavengers Act 2013.

Rate of Scholarship

• Day Scholars: Class 1st to 10th: ₹ 110/- per month for ten months.
• Hostellers: Class 3rd to 10th: ₹ 700/- per month for ten months.

Ad-Hoc Grant

• ₹ 750/- per student per annum to all-day scholars.
• ₹ 1000/- per student per annum to hostellers

The motive of the Adobe India Women-in-Technology Scholarship is to develop gender equality in the tech industry. Talented female students who are in undergraduate and postgraduate tech courses will get a platform to get more knowledge through this scholarship scheme.  It aims to provide them with the support they need to develop the skills they already have. 

• The candidate must be a female student and a permanent resident of India.
• Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate course of BEB.Tech 4-year program and Postgraduate course MEMSMTech from an Indian-recognized university or institute.

AICTE Pragati Scholarship for Girls is an initiative for girl students admitted to the first year or second year of diploma/degree level course through lateral entry in any of the AICTE-approved institutions of the respective year. Initiated by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), this scheme aims to provide assistance for the advancement of girls pursuing technical education

• Be an Indian national
• Be a girl student
• Have taken admission in full-time first-year diploma or degree programs in approved AICTE institutions
• Have a family income of less than ₹8,00,000 per annum

• The selected candidates will receive ₹50,000 per annum for every year of study i.e., a maximum of 3 years for students admitted to the first year and a maximum of 2 years for students admitted to the first year through lateral entry.
• The scholarship amount will be provided as a lump sum amount towards payment of college fees, purchase of computers, stationeries, books, equipment, software etc.

AICTE-Saksham Scholarship Scheme is an initiative for differently-abled students admitted to the first year of technical degree/diploma courses in any of the AICTE-approved institutions.

• Be an Indian national
• Be a specially-abled student having a disability of not less than 40%
• Be admitted to the first or second year of degree/diploma level course through lateral entry in any of the AICTE-approved institutions of the respective year
• Have a family income of less than ₹8,00,000 per annum

 The students will be awarded INR 50,000 per annum for every year of study.

This scholarship for SC students is offered for Bachelors, Masters, PhD degree in the field of All courses offered by the universities.

• Only Indian nationals are eligible.Applicants whose parental income is less than Rs.6.00 lakhs are eligible .
• One child of the family shall be eligible under this scheme.
• Applicants shall avail the 33% of the awards earmarked for Women Candidates.
• Applicants who got minimum percentage of marks in qualifying examinations will be selected as per order of merit.
• Applicants can further pursue MBBS, PG Diploma courses (1 year / 11 and half years) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certified Portfolio Manager (CPM).

Successful applicants of the Ambedkar Overseas Vidya Nidhi Scholarships will be sanctioned INR 10.00 lakhs grant (INR 5.00 Lakhs + INR 5.00 lakhs) in two instalments - First instalment of Rs.5.00 Lakhs on production of landing permit/I-94 i.e., immigration card and the second instalments on production of 1st Semester results.

This scholarships  is provided by Sant Nirankari Mandal. This scheme focuses on needy students who are willing to pursue diploma and degree courses. The educational department will select candidates based on their needs and offer them financial support for the courses like B.A. and BA (HONS), B.Com and B.Com (Hons), B.Sc, Diploma in Engineering, Hotel Management, MCA, Diploma/ Degree or Sports, Instrumental Music, vocal music training from a recognized institute/college in India.

• You must be a first-year regular student pursuing a diploma or degree program from a recognized university in India. 
• The family annual income should not exceed more than 3.50 lakh.
• Must have scored a minimum of 60 % marks in class  12th.
• Should not fail in last qualifying exam or detain by the institute for indiscipline or equivalent.
• Must not be getting any other scholarship or similar scholarship.
• Must not have taken admission through management or any other direct quota.

The Skill Development & Technical Education Department, Government of Odisha  t is awarding the Building And Other Construction (BOC)Scholarship.  main objective of launching the BOC Scholarship is to provide scholarships to students pursuing technical education who have secured good or excellent merit records while carrying out their studies. This will provide social security provisions to the student belonging to the SC category or community. The student must be an ITI/ITC Polytechnic or Diploma.

The student must be a permanent resident of Odisha. The student must belong to the SC category. The applicant must be pursuing technical education or ITI/Polytechnic course

This scholarship offers various opportunities to SC-category students across the world. Under this scheme, the selected students will receive variable financial support from the Odisha government. Under the BOC scholarship, no living costs of the students are covered.

A scholarship scheme by the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education to provide financial assistance to meritorious students from poor families to meet a part of their day-to-day expenses while pursuing higher studies. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of the results of the Higher Secondary / Class 12th Board Examination.

• Applicants should be having at least 80 percentile in their recent academics in the relevant stream.

The Combined Counselling Board (CCB) provides this prestigious scholarship scheme for students based on the degree that they have opted for in further studies in their undergraduate and postgraduate.

The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) scholarship scheme for undergraduate and postgraduate-level girl students is established by the Research and Development wing of the Ministry of Defense. 
It is provided through Aeronautics Research and Development Board (AR & DB). 

• The girls or women should be studying in the first year of a full-time undergraduate degree (four years).
• They should be pursuing a degree from streams such as aerospace engineering, aeronautical engineering, space engineering, rocketry, avionics and aircraft engineering.
• The candidate must be an Indian National. 
• The candidate applying for the scholarship must have been admitted in the first year of the current academic year into the relevant bachelor’s level engineering course. 
• The candidate should have cleared JEE (main) and should have a valid score for the same.

This is an initiative of Ericsson to provide financial support to meritorious girl students coming from underprivileged sections of the society. Under this scholarship program, girl students pursuing studies in the 2nd year of Engineering (IT/CS) or MBA program across India .

• Open for girl students across India only.
• Applicants must be studying in the 2nd year of the Engineering program in ICT streams (IT/CS) at state/UGC recognized colleges in India.

TOEFL Scholarships are offered to aspirants in the form of 14 grants and awards every year. ETS and TOEFL Board Sponsors jointly offer TOEFL scholarships to those students who are working in: Foreign or Second-Language research or teaching or assessment, and for international higher education. The TOEFL scholarship amount is around USD 1,000. Launched in 2016-17, the "Green Passage Scheme" Scheme by the Higher Education Dept., Govt. of Odisha provides free higher education to children without biological or adoptive parents. After the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, the scheme was revised to as well cover children who lost their both parents or single parent during the COVID-19 pandemic. Under this scheme, the fees like application fees, admission/readmission fees, tuition fees, examination fees, hostel admission fees, laboratory fees, library fees, college development fees, etc. will be exempted for eligible students. The institutions will also provide free accommodation and food to such students.

The child should be without biological/adoptive parents OR The child should have lost both the parents ORThe child should have lost a single bread-earning parent OR The child should be residing in a Child Care Institution OR under foster care or care of a guardian OR any fit person/ surviving parent.The annual income of the guardian/ fit person/ surviving parent (from all sources) does not exceed ₹ 8,00,000.The student should be pursuing higher education in any Government or Non-Government Higher Education Institution (i.e., College & University). Here "higher education" would mean general/professional/ technical education of at least 1-year duration after Class-12.

• The fees like application fees, admission/readmission fees, tuition fees, examination fees, hostel admission fees, laboratory fees, library fees, college development fees, etc. will be exempted. The institutions will also provide free accommodation and food to such students.
• In the case of Government Institutions, fees will be exempted at the time of admission on submission of required documents by the student.In the case of Non-Government Aided Colleges, fees will be exempted at the time of admission and would be reimbursed by Government on submission of required documents/vouchers by the institution to Government in Higher Education Department.
• In the case of Non-Government Un-aided Institutions, the student will take admission by arranging funds on his/her own and then seek reimbursement from the Government on submission of required documents/vouchers to the Government in the Higher Education Department. Such reimbursement will be limited to ₹ 5,00,000 maximum for the entire duration of the course.
   

Indian Oil Educational Scholarship: The IOC Ltd offers 300 scholarships every year to eligible students. Students need to be enrolled in an undergraduate course. The scholarship particularly focuses on students with physical disabilities, women and students from North East and J&K

• (For 10+) – Bonafide students (full time / regular) in 11th standard / Ist Year of Intermediate course or equivalent course in 2014-15 are eligible to apply.
• (For ITI) - Bonafide students (full time / regular) in 1st year of 2 years ITI course in 2014-15 are eligible to apply.
• Engineering & MBBS : Bonafide students (full time/regular) in the first year of Engineering/MBBS degree courses in 2014-15 (minimum 4 years’ duration course) are eligible to apply.
• MBA : Bonafide students (full time/regular) in the first year of minimum 2 years post graduate course in Business Administration/Management in 2014-15 are eligible to apply.
• The marks obtained in the qualifying examination making the students eligible to seek admission in the respective first year of these courses will be considered for selection. Minimum eligibility percentage of marks required from the students of various categories in qualifying examination is given in the above table.
• Percentage of marks obtained in qualifying examination shall be calculated on total aggregate marks of all subjects. In case of Graduates, percentage of marks obtained shall be calculated on total aggregate of marks of all subjects for all the academic years of graduation.
• Normalization of marks for all streams shall be done by using percentile method so as to rationalize the variation of marks provided by different Education Boards and Universities/Institutions.
• INCOME : Gross Joint annual income of the family of the student from all sources during financial year 2013-14 should not exceed Rs. 1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only). However, in case of tie, preference will be given to the students whose family income (gross joint income from all sources in 2013-14) is upto Rs. 60,000/- (Rs. Sixty thousand only). Income certificate should be got issued from appropriate civil authorities of the State/UTs/Central Governments whose details have been specified under the head ‘Submission of Documents by Applicants’. Any Affidavit submitted as Income Proof shall not be accepted.
• AGE LIMIT: Minimum 15 years and maximum 30 years as on 01.07.2014. Persons born between 01.07.1984 and 01.07.1999 (both days inclusive) are eligible to apply. However, relaxation in the upper age limit by 3 years for OBC candidates, 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 10 years for Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) is permissible.
• RESERVATION : 49.5% scholarships are reserved i.e. SC(15%), ST(7.5%) & OBC (27%). Only those listed in the Central Govt’s OBC list will be considered against OBC quota. OBC candidates of State list but not covered by Central Govt’s OBC list may apply against General Category. 25% of scholarships for girl students and 10% of scholarships for persons with Disabilities (PwDs) (minimum 40% disability as per definition under Disabilities Act 1952) are reserved in each category/sub-category. The above reservations shall be maintained on overall All India Basis.

Internshala Career Scholarship for Girls is an annual award  intended to help advance one girl’s career in her chosen field. Instituted in 2012, the scholarship commemorates the tragic coincidence of Nirbhaya’s (Delhi rape victim) loss of life on the same day as Internshala celebrates its anniversary (29th December). The scholarship is meant to recognise a girl who has fought against odds that restrained her from pursuing the career of her dreams in any field (academics, sports, arts, etc.).

Girls (Indian nationals) between the ages of 17 to 23 years (as of 31st December 2022), i.e., born between 1st January 1999 and 31st December 2005 with a career objective are eligible to apply.

Keep India Smiling Foundational Scholarship & Mentorship Programme: This scholarship aims to provide adequate foundational support to individuals who are deserving but lack fundamental resources. This scholarship is conducted by Colgate-Palmolive (India) Ltd

• Must have passed Class 12 board examination in 2022
• Must have scored a minimum of 60% in Class 12 board exams
• Must be enrolled in a 3-year graduation programme in a recognised institution in India
• Annual family income should be less than INR 5 Lakhs

INR 30,000 per annum for a period of 3 years

This scholarship is an on-going National Programme to provide Mentorship and Scholarship support to pursue study in Basic Sciences. While KVPY program is initiated and funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, it is administered and implemented by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore to attract exceptionally motivated students to study science and pursue careers in research.

• The KVPY Program enrolls students starting from Class XI standards (science subjects) and operates in 3 streams i.e. stream SA, Stream SX and Stream SB.

Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS:Merit Cum Means Scholarship for Professional and Technical Courses CS (Minorities) 2022-23 is an initiative for minority community students who are pursuing technical or professional courses at the undergraduate or postgraduate level. This scholarship is offered by the Ministry of Minority Affairs (MoMA), Government of India.

Post-Graduate Indira Gandhi Scholarship for Single Girl Child is an initiative for girl students up to 30 years of age who happen to be the only girl child in their family. The scholarship is being offered by the University Grants Commission (UGC), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. The scholarship aims to promote girl education and compensate for the direct costs of girl education at all levels.

Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme For Central Armed Police Forces And Assam Rifles:Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme (PMSS) was introduced from the academic year 2006-07 to encourage higher technical and professional education for the dependent wards and widows of Central Armed Police Forces & Assam Rifles (CAPFs & AR) Personnel. From 2019-20, this scheme has further been extended for the dependent wards of States/UTs Police Personnel who are martyred during Terror/Naxal attacks.

A) For CAPFs & Assam Rifles :-

•  Wards/widows of deceased C
•  CAPFs & AR personnel died in harness/election duty, wards of personnel disabled due to causes attributable to Government service and Wards of ExCAPFs & AR personnel in receipt of Gallantry Awards.
• Wards/widows of retired and serving CAPFs & AR Personnel. (Personnel below Officer Rank) Pursuing first professional degree programme in the field of Engineering, Medicine, Dental, Veterinary, BBA, BCA, B. Pharma, B.SC (Nursing, Agriculture, etc.), MBA and MCA etc. in accordance with the guidelines as mentioned in Para- 8 (B).
• Having minimum 60% marks in Minimum Entry Qualification (MEQ) i.e.10+2/Diploma/Graduation or equivalent in case of new applicant.
• For applicants applying under renewal category, it is mandatory to pass the each subsequent academic year of the professional courses being pursued by them with minimum 50% marks.
• A grace period of one year only for cases, where there is a delay on part of candidate for submission of application for renewal of scholarship may be entertained.

•  A grace period of one year only for cases, where there is a delay on part of candidate for submission of application for renewal of scholarship may be entertained.

Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme For RPF/RPSF:Prime Minister’s Scholarship Scheme was introduced from the Academic year 2008-09 for RPF. It was introduced to encourage higher technical and professional education for the dependent wards of Ex/Serving RPF/RPSF personnel and widows (below the Rank of Gazetted officer)

• Students who have taken regular admission in are only eligible for this scholarship.
• Students should have secured 60% and above in Minimum Entry Qualification (MEQ) i.e.
• 12th Std., Diploma/Graduation.
• The scholarship is admissible for only two wards per family and should be ensured by the
• beneficiaries as well as by the concerned zonal Railways/RPSF.
• Colleges/institutes/universities eligible: Only the institutes/universities/colleges having
• AISHE regulation will be permissible. 

• 2500/- per month for male students
• 3000/- per month for female students

This scholarship
has been instituted in the memory of Prof. Dash to facilitate higher education in the field of engineering, medicine and liberal arts. In total, six scholarships are awarded - two for the children of permanent employees of IMFA and four for the meritorious students from economically weak families who are permanently domiciled in Odisha. 

•  Annual family income of the applicant should be less than INR 8 Lakh.
•  Preference may be given SC, ST and Divyang Applicants

The selected scholars receive a waiver of 90% of the academic fee and other expenses for the entire duration of a 4-year course up to an amount of INR 1.5 Lakh per annum.

Samsung Stars Scholarship was launched by Samsung Electronics Private Limited to provide this scholarship opportunity to students who are pursuing professional courses. Under this scholarship, financial help will be provided to the student so that they can continue their higher education without worrying about any financial hurdles. 

• The scholarship is available for student(s) who have graduated from any JNV (10th or 12th-grade pass), run by the Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti, an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
• Currently pursuing a full-term BE/B. Tech/Dual Degree (B.Tech +M.Tech) course (“Degree Course”) in an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) or a National Institute of Technology (NIT) in India as mentioned in the list of Institutes available on the Samsung India Star Scholar website (hereinafter ”Institute”). Any other courses like B.ARCH/BSC/MSC etc. are not cover under this Program.

Selected Applicants will be entitled to annual scholarship amount up to Indian Rupees Two Lakh (INR 2,00,000/-) only for expenses related to tuition fee including (examination fee & registration fee), hostel and mess expenses only as certified by Institute Dean/authorized PIC in the student application form and as specifically mentioned in section 7 of these Rules.

To encourage young, talented sports persons through Scholarship Scheme of the AIPSSPB in line with the objectives of National Sports Policy and with a view to adopt them subsequently under the Talent Search Scheme based on their performances & potential to win medals at National & International level.

The scholarship shall be awarded to such players who have consistently played in the last two years & whose individual performance is exemplary in the age group of 14 – 19 years in National/International level events/tournaments.

The amount of scholarship will be Rs.10,000/- per month

Top 2000 students from the state from NFSA/SFSS category are rewarded INR 50,000/- each (One time).

Many girl students left their academics after 10th due to various reasons. To encourage girls towards technical education, a new initiative has been started by the Odisha government. The name of the initiative is Sudakshya for Girls Child Scholarship. The scheme is run by officials under the guidelines of the Skill Development & Technical Education Department, Government of Odisha. Sudakshya for Girls Child Scholarship is specially designed for the General/ ST/ SC/ OBC/ SEBC/ EBC category girl child of Odisha state. under this scholarship scheme, the government is going to provide financial help to the students. Girl students who win the award will get cash benefits. The scholarship is only for girls who are pursuing ITI courses in any trade. 

The applicant should be a resident of Odisha state.The applicant should be a girl child.Applicant should belong to the General/ST/SC/OBC/SEBC/EBC category. Applicant should be pursuing I.T.I. / I.T.C., Polytechnic/ Diploma courses.

Technip Energies India Scholarship Program :Under this, female students from several states, including Bihar, who are in the first year of their B.E./B.Tech. (Chemical, Electrical, Civil, and Mechanical Engineering) courses are provided with a one-time scholarship 

• Open for female students from Delhi NCR (Ghaziabad, Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad), Bihar, Assam, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Maharashtra.

One-time scholarship grant of INR 30,000 to cover their academic expenses.

The Pre-Matric- Poverty cum Merit Odisha Scholarship is an initiative by the Government of Odisha to provide financial assistance to students from economically disadvantaged and marginalized communities to support their education at the school level before matriculation (Class 10). This scholarship is designed to alleviate families’ financial burden and encourage children to complete their primary and secondary education.

• Applicants must be residents of Odisha.
• Students must be studying in recognized schools from Class 1 to Class 10.
• The family income should not exceed a specified limit, which varies according to the student’s category (SC/ST/OBC/EWS).

• Provides financial aid to cover school fees, examination fees, and other related educational expenses.
• Offers stipends for books, uniforms, and other necessary school supplies.
• This may include allowances for transportation and hostel expenses for students living away from home.

The scholarship is designed with an aim to promote qualitative education among SC students by providing full financial support to them beyond 12th class.The annual income ceiling for disbursement of the scholarship should not exceed Rs. 4.5 lakh and the selection criteria of these scholarships is merit-based.

• Applicants must belong to the Scheduled Caste category and have completed Class 12.Students should have taken admission in a full-time course in a notified institution through general selection criteria prescribed by respective institutions.
• Students' families should have an annual income of less than INR 8 lakh from all sources.

This Scholarshipsupports the college education of meritorious students from economically challenged families. The students are selected after completion of 10th grade /SSLC through a rigorous selection process including test and interview. Currently Vidyadhan program has around 8000 students across the following states: Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Telangana, Goa, Odisha, New Delhi, Ladhak, Bihar, Jarkhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh.

This is one time scholarship of ₹ 20,000/- per student. There are 1500 scholarships awarded every year out of which 1200 are for the "Students studying UG with Odia Honours" Category, and 300 are for the "Students studying PG in Odia" Category.

• Students who have been admitted in +3 Arts with Odia as Honours subject (1St Year) in Degree Colleges / Autonomous Colleges/ State Universities of Odisha or other states after passing +2 Examination with 60% marks aggregate conducted by CHSE, Odisha will be eligible for applying for this Scholarship at U.G. level.        
• The students who have taken admitted to M.A. (Odia) in any of the State Universities/ Degree Colleges and Autonomous Colleges in Odisha after securing 60% marks in Odia Honours subject will also be eligible for this Scholarship at the P.G. level.

Women Scientists Scheme-C (WOS-C):WOS-C scheme aims to train women having qualifications in science/ engineering / medicine or allied areas in the area of IPR and their management for a period of one year.
