SUCCESS STORY

Gawate Akshay Laxman was born on 1 January 2001 in Pimpalgaon Sarai, a village in Buldhana district of Maharashtra. He was the son of Laxman Gawate, a labourer, and Sunita Gawate, a homemaker. He had two sisters, Pooja and Priyanka. He had a dream of joining the Indian Army since his childhood and was inspired by his uncle, who was also an army man. He completed his schooling from a local school and then joined the Agniveer recruitment program.  He was the first Agniveer to have laid down his life in operations.
